With a solid base of national retailers, great retail locations available, a positive business environment, and a strong downtown revitalization program, retail is thriving in Batesville and Panola County.
Top 5 reasons why your retail business should be here:
- High Traffic Location
With 25,000 vehicles per day traveling I-55 and Highway 6 adjacent to Batesville and plenty of high visibility locations, there’s a lot of potential to attract shoppers to your store.
- Strong Retail Sales
People come here to shop – and the sales tax collections in Batesville reflect that. With tax collections that outshine communities that are 2 and 3 times our size, it’s a sure sign that retail sales are strong and additional retail growth is possible.

Batesville Main Street is revitalizing and restoring the downtown area by preserving historic locations, recruiting businesses, hosting annual events to attract visitors, establishing directional signage, improving the atmosphere and experience of the downtown area and so much more. Como Main Street Alliance is also working to promote and revitalize the downtown Como area.
